Preschool and Childcare company eyes Bluffton for newest location.
Plans for a 11,293 square foot childcare facility in front of the Mill Creek at Cypress Ridge community have been submitted for consideration to the Bluffton Planning Commission.
Big Blue Marble Academy, a childcare and preschool company with multiple locations across the eastern United States, is looking to expand into the Town of Bluffton. They offer programming for infants to four-year-olds and an after school program for kids ages five to 12, according to their website.
The proposed plans show the site would be located at the intersection of Mill Creek Boulevard and Okatie Highway.
If approved, there will be no drop-off lane for the facility. Instead parents and guardians will be required to take their child inside the facility and check them in at the front desk.
The site would have an outdoor play area as well and parking to accommodate 34 vehicles.
The planning commission will review the plans for the academy at their meeting Wednesday night. If approved, it will get the go ahead for construction.
