Here are 4 trunk-or-treat events happening in Beaufort County this Halloween weekend

Halloween night is just around the corner and candy lovers are gearing up to fill their bags full of sweets.

If you are looking for family-friendly events in Beaufort County to kick off Halloween weekend, it’s time to start collecting candy at these four trunk-or-treat events nearby.

  • On Sunday, Grace Community Church on Hilton Head Island will be hosting a trunk-or-treat event from 4:30-6:30 p.m. This event will have free candy, food and fun for the family. The event will be located on the island at 450 Spanish Wells Road.

  • Bluffton United Methodist Church will be hosting a community Harvest Festival trunk-or-treat on Sunday beginning at 4:30 p.m. The event is set to take place rain or shine at 101 Calhoun Street and is open for anyone to attend. Dinner will also be provided. At the event, there will be a bounce house, photo booth and prizes for attendees. Guests are asked to RSVP at the church or on the event’s Facebook page.

  • The Bluffton Police Department is hosting its second annual Spooktacular event at Oscar Frazier Park in Bluffton, located at 77 Shults Road on Friday from 6-8 p.m. The night promises Halloween fun, a trunk-or-treat and an opportunity for attendees to get to know local organizations and first responders. At this free event, each organization at the park will distribute Halloween candy and safety information to guests, with Bluffton police officers also grilling hotdogs for everyone. Anyone who attends, regardless of age, are encouraged to show up wearing their best Halloween costumes. For those who choose to dress up, there will be a costume contest at 7:30 p.m.

  • Hardeeville trunk-or-treat will take place from 5:30-7 p.m. on Monday. This Halloween evening event will involve spooky music, candy and treats as well as costume contests for four different age groups and a competition for the three best decorated trunks. Each of the three winners for the trunk decorating contest will win prizes. This event will be free to attend, open to the public and is located in Hardeeville at 205 Main Street behind City Hall. For Beaufort County residents that live near the Jasper County border, this event may allow your family to have a closer event for safer travels on Halloween night.
