2-year-old Beaufort girl dies after being found in swimming pool, coroner says
A two-year-old Beaufort girl died after being found in a pool while visiting family, Beaufort County Chief Deputy Coroner David Ott said Sunday night.
Karalynn Forbes was pronounced dead at Beaufort Memorial Hospital at 7:10 p.m. Saturday.
Ott said Beaufort County EMS responded to a Beaufort-area home after Forbes was found in a pool by family about 5:44 p.m.
An autopsy is set for Tuesday morning at Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, Ott said.
In an unrelated July 2019 incident, a 2-year-old Beaufort boy drowned in a swimming pool while visiting family in the Belton area of Anderson County.
