An accident in Bluffton caused two people to go to hospital with non-life threatening injuries on Friday night.

The wreck occured at Buckwalter Parkway at Berkeley Place. One vehicle pulled out of Berkeley Place but failed to yield right-of-way to another vehicle, which was heading south on Buckwalter. The two cars then collided, said Bluffton Police Department spokesperson Joy Nelson.

The driver and a passenger of the vehicle that had pulled out of Berkeley Place sustained injuries that were non-life threatening. They were taken to the hospital for further treatment.

Emergency Medical Services treated the driver and the passenger from the second vehicle on the scene.

Social media posts warned that a part of Buckwalter Parkway was closed around 2 a.m. Saturday, and that traffic was being redirected.

No other details were available as of 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Nelson said.
