These 10 Beaufort County hotels are the best in the country, report says

Ten hotels in Hilton Head, Bluffton and Beaufort received AAA's Four Diamond Award, according to the organization, which its awards list Wednesday.

Those hotels were:

• The Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa on Hilton Head Island
• Omni Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort on Hilton Head Island
• The Rhett House Inn in Beaufort
• Montage Palmetto Bluff in Bluffton
• Sonesta Resort Hilton Head on Hilton Head Island
• Hilton Head Marriott Resort & Spa on Hilton Head Island
• Ocean Oak Resort by Hilton Grand Vacations on Hilton Head Island
• The Inn & Club at Harbour Town on Hilton Head Island
• Hilton Head Marriott Resort & Spa on Hilton Head Island
• The Cuthbert House Inn in Beaufort

AAA inspectors travel to hotels and around the country and rate their experiences from one diamond to five diamonds.

These hotels lived up to the AAA four-diamond rating, which demands "Refined, stylish with upscale physical attributes, extensive amenities and a high degree of hospitality, service and attention to detail."

No Beaufort County hotels received a five-diamond rating, which is described as "ultimate luxury, sophistication and comfort."

The AAA also rates restaurants with their diamond ranking. The Diamond Awards for restaurants will be released February 21.
