Want to have a say in Hilton Head’s future? Here’s your chance

Hilton Head residents are invited to give input on the town’s future by taking part in upcoming engagement workshops, according to a release.

The workshops are being held as part of Hilton Head’s long-term visioning process “Our Future,” which intends to create a road map for the island’s next 10 to 20 years.

There will be 20 to 30 workshops held between now and October, the release said. Nine workshops are scheduled for August:

▪  Aug. 18, 10 a.m. to noon at Hilton Head Plantation

▪  Aug. 19, 10 a.m. to noon at the Boys and Girls Club (Limited childcare available)

Aug. 19, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Beaufort County Library branch on Hilton Head

▪  Aug. 21, 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Town Hall

▪  Aug. 22, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at The Children’s Center (Limited childcare available)

▪  Aug. 23, 10 a.m. to noon at Port Royal

▪  Aug. 23, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at The Children’s Center (Limited childcare available; workshop conducted in Spanish)

▪  Aug. 24, 10 a.m. to noon at the Public Service District office at 21 Oak Park Dr.

▪  Aug. 24, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Central Oak Grove Baptist Church (Limited childcare available)
