Hilton Head pathway repairs begin today

Phase II of pathway repair work on Hilton Head Island begins today and is expected to be completed June 2, according to a town release.

Portions of the pathways along William Hilton Parkway, Beach City Road and Marshland Road will be affected. Temporary closures of pathways are expected in the work area.

People are asked to use caution near work zones but will be able to walk or bike around the closed areas, said Alice Derian, the town’s contracts and services administrator.

Phase I of the repairs focused on the island’s south end, including Cordillo Parkway, Palmetto Bay Road and South Forest Beach Drive.
