Former Second Helpings leader named director of World Affairs Council of Hilton Head

The World Affairs Council of Hilton Head has selected Maureen Korzik as its new executive director.

Korzik, a Hilton Head Island resident and experienced nonprofit organization executive, will be responsible for the administration of the council under the direction of its president and board of directors, according to a council news release.

She previously served as executive director of Second Helpings, a local food rescue and distribution network, the release said.

The group’s current executive director Joan Apple Lemoine is retiring from the position.
