The Belfair 1811 Charitable Fund is accepting grant applications from local nonprofit groups through Dec. 31.

The fund, supported by events at Belfair Plantation in Bluffton, has awarded $53,000 to local organizations and an additional $10,000 in hurricane relief aid this year, according to a news release from the private golf community.

Grants for the upcoming year will be awarded in April 2017.
