New Lyme disease support group to meet in Bluffton

A relatively new support group for those with Lyme disease and their caregivers will begin meeting this month, according to a news release.

The Lowcountry SC Lyme support group will meet from 5:30-6:45 p.m. May 10, at the Beaufort County Library Bluffton Branch, 120 Palmetto Way, Bluffton.

The support group was recently started by Vanessa Leite of Bluffton after a fundraising event in her honor brought together more than 120 people affected by the disease.

The group plans to meet once a month on Tuesday evenings at the library.
