Hilton Head Hospital has received an award for implementing specific quality improvement measures for heart failure patients.

The hospital received the “Get With The Guidelines® – Heart Failure Gold-Plus Quality Achievement Award” for implementing the measures which are outlined by the American Heart Association and the American College of Cardiology Foundation.

The award marks the 5th consecutive year the hospital has been recognized with the honor.

The award is part of a quality improvement program that helps hospital teams provide the up-to-date, research-based guidelines with the goal of speeding recovery and reducing hospital re-admissions for heart failure patients.
