Area organizations to hold free health and wellness conference

The Campbell Chapel AME Church along with a number of area organizations will hold a free health and wellness conference in Bluffton this week.

“Reclaiming Your Health” will take place from 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, April 16, at the church, 25 Boundary St., Bluffton, according to a news release.

The church, along with Bluffton Jasper Volunteers in Medicine, AccessHealth Lowcountry, South Carolina Department of Health & Environmental Control and the Lowcountry Public Health Region Med-I-Assist Programs, are sponsoring the event.

The conference will feature such topics as Alzheimer’s disease, heart disease, men’s health and aging, anxiety disorder and depression.

Dr. Thaddeus Bell, a family practice physician in Charleston, will be the featured speaker.
