MUSC study looking for veterans with chronic back pain
Researchers with the Medical University of South Carolina are looking for veterans suffering from chronic back pain to participate in a new study, according to a news release.
The study is looking for United States military veterans ages 18-70 years old who suffer from ongoing back pain.
The study will offer treatment that combines cognitive behavioral therapy with transcranial direct current stimulation in an effort to reduce pain.
In addition, the study offers a potential treatment that minimizes the need to take medication to manage chronic pain.
Participants in the study will receive 11 therapy sessions and three follow-up visits.
