Hardeeville hospital recognized as ‘Fit-Friendly’ worksite

Coastal Carolina Hospital has been recognized as a ‘Fit-Friendly Worksite’ by the American Heart Association, according to a news release.

The hospital was recognized as a ‘Platinum-Level Fit-Friendly Worksite’ for helping employees eat better and move more.

Platinum-level employers offer employees physical activity options in the workplace, healthy eating options on site, promote a wellness culture in the workplace and among other offerings.

In 2015, employees participated in corporate-wide wellness challenges, on-site health fairs and wellness activities and community walks that promoted physical activity as well the opportunity to support health-related causes.
