Family medicine specialist joins Beaufort medical group

Beaufort Memorial Hospital has added an additional physician to the staff of Lowcountry Medical Group.

Dan Smith, a board-certified family medicine specialist with more than 14 years of experience, is now seeing patients at the multi-specialty practice located at 300 Midtown Drive.

A graduate of Oklahoma State University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine, Smith completed his internship and residency at Oklahoma State University Medical Center and spent several years as an ER and urgent care physician in Tulsa and also practiced family medicine in Bristow, Okla.

Smith relocated to the Lowcountry in 2011. For the past year, he has been affiliated with a private practice in the area.
