Red Cross announces blood drives for January

For National Blood Donor Month in January, the American Red Cross asks for help in maintaining a sufficient blood supply.

Blood will be accepted from:

- noon--6 p.m. Jan. 6, at the American Red Cross Palmetto Chapter, 59 Sheridan Park Circle

- 1--6 p.m. Jan. 8, at the Palmetto Bluff Community, Old Moreland Road

Donors with all blood types are needed, especially those with types AB, O, B negative and A negative.
