Retina specialist to hold Hilton Head Island seminar on macular degeneration

A Hilton Head Island retina specialist will hold an educational seminar on macular degeneration this month.

Dr. Peter Liggett will hold the seminar from 10:45-11:45 a.m. Wednesday Jan. 13, at the Country Club of Hilton Head at Hilton Head Plantation, 70 Skull Creek Drive, according to a news release.

Coffee and light refreshments will be provided during the seminar.

The seminar will take place prior to a Lions Club lunch meeting at noon.

Those who wish to attend the luncheon should RSVP by Jan. 7 by calling John Wojtulewicz at 860-857-4844.

The cost for the luncheon is $16.

Dr. Liggett will pay for lunch for the first 40 people who register for the event.
