Beaufort County health center now offering telepsychiatry services

Beaufort Jasper Hampton Comprehensive Health Services is offering telepsychiatry at its Ruth P. Field, or Chelsea, medical center in Okatie, according to a statement released by the company.

The center is able to offer the services, which will eliminate long travel times, by partnering with the Medical University of South Carolina's Center for Telehealth, the release said.

In addition, the partnership will provide the health services company with access to other MUSC telemedicine services such as pediatric neurology, orthopedics, child and adolescent psychiatry, pediatric dermatology, patient child interactive therapy, sickle cell care, pediatric surgery and urology.
