Island doctor serves as moderator at oncology meeting

Dr. Gary Thomas of SC Cancer Specialists on Hilton Head Island recently served as the moderator of the annual joint meeting between the SC Oncology Society and the NC Oncology Association held in Charlotte, according to a news release.

The meeting is an annual conference focusing on the latest advancements in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of cancer. Thomas serves as the president of the SC Oncology Society.
