Here’s where you can get a free screening for COPD

Hilton Head Hospital is raising awareness for World Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Day by offering free pulmonary function screenings from 8 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 3:30 p.m. Nov. 16 at the Bluffton Medical Campus at 75 Baylor Drive.

These free screenings are designed to determine how well you are breathing and to denote any abnormalities in lung function. When COPD is severe, shortness of breath and other symptoms of COPD can get in the way of even the most basic tasks, such as doing light housework, taking a walk, washing and dressing.

Screenings are free but registration is required.
