At risk for COVID? These Bluffton natives want to pick up your groceries for free

Bluffton natives Veronica Yanez and Mckencie Guerrero both knew immediately they wanted to help their community once the COVID-19 pandemic started.

“We both love our small town and want nothing, but to spread love during these difficult times,” Yanez said via a facebook message.

The nursing students decided they would start a non-profit grocery delivery service for those most at-risk of serious illness from COVID-19.

Anyone needing a grocery delivery in the Bluffton or Hilton Head area can contact the organization via email to setup a delivery time.

“We are going to try to work with whoever reaches out to us but we do prefer to do mornings,” Yanez said.

As of right now Yanez and Guerrero are handling all delivery requests but they have another friend wanting to volunteer and hope more people in the area help as well.

Anyone needing a grocery delivery or wanting to volunteer can email foodonthemovesc@gmail.com.
