Beaufort Memorial Hospital is offering free video visits for anyone experiencing respiratory or coronavirus symptoms, a Thursday news release says.

Symptoms such as fever, cough or shortness of breath will qualify patients for the free visits available 24/7 until further notice. The release says some restrictions may apply.

Those seeking a visit can select “COVID-19 Visits” after setting up a BMH Care Anywhere account via a smartphone, computer or tablet.

Patients will meet with a board-certified provider via the video visit. The provider will discuss symptoms and treatment options, the release says.

Anyone suspected to have coronavirus will be directed to a Beaufort Memorial Express care location for additional screening.

A $59 hold will be placed on the credit card but after the visit, the provider after will waive the fee for patients who meet the requirements, the release says. The time it takes for a charge to clear varies by bank and credit card company.

Health insurance plans may be billed for the visit, but patients will have no out-of-pocket costs, the release says.

For more information about BMH Care Anywhere, visit www.BMHCareAnywhere.org.

The service also can be used by individuals who want to avoid the public for treatment of illnesses not related to coronavirus such as but not limited to migraine, pink eye, vomiting, ear infection and urinary tract infection.

Each visit not associated with coronavirus costs $59.
