Will new hotel take away Old Town’s charm? Readers split over proposed plans
Development firm Landmark 2 LLC is proposing to build a new 13-room, three-story, 7,700-square-foot boutique inn on May River Road between Bluffton Road and Promenade Street.
News of the plans drew quick reaction from many Island Packet readers on Facebook. Some encouraged the growth while others said the building would lead to more construction that would take away the town’s “charm.”
