Hilton Head man named ‘Competent Communicator’

Derrick Vlad, president of Hilton Head Island-based DJV Associates executive search firm, received the title “Competent Communicator” through Toastmasters International, signifying his completion of a minimum of 10 speeches, each with a specific communication objective.

Vlad moved to Hilton Head and joined FastTrackers Toastmasters in 2015. He has a degree in mechanical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA from the University of Chicago. He spent a number of years in Europe and speaks French and Italian.

FastTrackers Toastmasters of Hilton Head meets at 7:45 every Friday morning in the community room of the Palmetto Electric building on Mathews Drive. Guests are welcome.
