Hilton Head Toastmasters named President’s Distinguished Club

For the sixth consecutive year and ninth time in 10 years, Hilton Head Island’s chapter of Toastmasters International was named a President’s Distinguished Club.

To attain that status, a club must earn nine of 10 possible points related to member achievement. Fast Trackers garnered all 10 possible points for the year by the end of May.

— At least four members earned the Competent Communicator award

— Two or more members earned one of the four Advanced Communicator awards

— At least two members earned one of the four leadership awards

— A minimum of four club officers attended each of two training sessions

— Additional goals pertain to club functions and administration

Fast Trackers will receive a banner ribbon. Of the 122 local clubs in South Carolina, only seven attained President’s Distinguished Club status for the year after 11 months. In the previous fiscal year, 25 clubs in the state earned President’s Distinguished status by year end.

Fast Trackers Awards who Contributed to the Club’s Success

Competent Communicator: Michelle Casey, Mike Sanz, Rosemary Staples (her fourth), Derrick Vlad

Advanced Communicator: Laura Hill, gold; David Premo, bronze and silver;

Leadership: Laura Hill, Competent Leader; Maureen Korzik, Competent Leader and Advanced Leader-Bronze; Beau Patterson, Competent Leader; David Premo, Advanced Leader-Bronze
