Haley to attend Jasper Ocean Terminal status meeting

Gov. Nikki Haley is scheduled to participate in a public meeting on the status of the Jasper Ocean Terminal at 10:30 a.m. Monday.

The meeting will be held at the Jasper County Government Building, third floor council chambers, 358 Third Avenue, Ridgeland.

Haley will be joined by members of the Jasper County Council, members of the board of directors of the South Carolina Ports Authority, Jasper Ocean Terminal Joint Project Office officials and state legislators to discuss the progress of the Jasper Ocean Terminal Project, according to a news release.

The Jasper County Chamber of Commerce is holding a luncheon Monday afternoon to provide members with a port update.
