Allegiant adds route from Savannah to BWI

Allegiant airlines has begun its new, nonstop service between Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport and the Washington, D.C., and Baltimore area.

The new service will operate twice weekly. With this new route, Allegiant will have six routes to Savannah including Akron/Canton, Ohio; Columbus, Ohio; Pittsburgh; Indianapolis and Cincinnati. The new route will bring more than 32,000 additional visitors each year to the area, according to the airline.
