Island Winery named best winery/brewery in SC on FlipKey

Island Winery on Hilton Head Island was chosen as South Carolina’s “Top Wineries and Breweries Worth Traveling For” on FlipKey.com.

The winery, owned by Loren and Georgene Mortimer, opened in 2006. Their wines are produced locally. Local grapes and fruits are also used in their Low Country specialty wines.

They offer free wine tastings and serve wine by the glass or bottle.

The winery is also featured on the South Carolina Department of Tourism’s “Satisfy Your Thirst” app.
