Palmetto Electric members to see adjustment in bills

A decline in the cost of natural gas and coal has caused an adjustment in the power cost factor for Palmetto Electric customers.

The PCF, a monthly charge on the co-op bills, reflects the increases and decreases in the wholesale power that Palmetto Electric purchases.

Fuel costs are approximately 50 percent of Palmetto's total wholesale power costs. The costs for natural gas and coal have been declining over the past year.
