Deadline Dec. 9 to nominate businesses, individuals for Bluffton Business Awards

The chance to nominate businesses and outstanding individuals for a Bluffton Business Award ends Dec. 10. Finalists will be announced Dec. 17, with awards to be presented at the Bluffton Ball Jan. 8 at the Bluffton Rotary Community Center.

The Greater Bluffton Chamber of Commerce has organized the Bluffton Business Awards and Bluffton Ball to celebrate Bluffton. Individuals and companies in the community who have made a difference will be celebrated.

The awards recognize businesses in and around Bluffton that strive to improve the town's life and image.

Eleven awards will be given to local business owners. So far, more than 100 businesses have been nominated for awards, including Business of the Year and Nonprofit Organization of the Year.

The Chamber encourages participants to also nominate individuals for awards such as Rookie of the Year, Outstanding Person of the Year and Educator/Professional Development Person of the Year.
