Taste of the Season's 'Best Cuisine' awards announced

Winners of this year's "Taste of the Season" culinary event have been announced.

Executive Chef Chris Johnson of Michael Anthony's Cucina Italiana won the "People's Choice" award for his veal Agnolotti with butter sage sauce dish.

Runner-up was Executive Chef Chaun Bescos of Red Fish for his seared Chilean sea bass with wild mushroom and Piedmontese oxtail ragout.

In addition, ELA's Blu Water Grille won the event's "Best Decor" award.

Held annually by the Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce, the event took place Nov. 20 at the Country Club of Hilton Head and had more than 27 member restaurants from the area to participate.
