Hospital to name ICU after late local physician Condie
Coastal Carolina Hospital in Hardeeville has named its intensive care unit in memory of an area physician who dedicated more than 25 years of service to the Lowcountry.
Dr. Scott D. Condie was a family medicine physician who practiced in the Lowcountry for over 25 years, including more than a decade spent at Coastal Carolina, according to a news release.
Condie served in multiple roles at the hospital including as chairman of the hospital's Department of Medicine, vice chief of staff and chief of staff and was instrumental in the development of the hospital's Certified Primary Stroke Center.
Condie died on June 3.
The hospital's ICU unit was named for Condie in a dedication service held at Coastal Carolina Oct. 5.
