State of the Region to celebrate 100th anniversary of Parris Island Marine Corps Depot
The 20th annual State of the Region luncheon, presented by the Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce, will celebrate the 100th anniversary of Parris Island Marine Corps Depot. The annual luncheon will be at noon Oct. 29 at the Hilton Head Marriott Resort & Spa.
Keynote speaker Brig. Gen. Terry Williams will discuss the importance and the key role that Parris Island plays in the South Carolina economy, and the role it plays on the national level.
Following Williams' keynote, featured speakers Hilton Head Island Mayor David Bennett, Bluffton Mayor Lisa Sulka and Beaufort County Council Chairman Paul Sommerville will discuss their goals, challenges and the overall health of the community.
Seating for the event is limited. The cost to attend is $38 for chamber members and $48 for future members. A table of 10 is $380. The cost includes a plated luncheon.
