Sonesta announces two new hires

Sonesta Resort Hilton Head Island has named David Leffew as its new director of food and beverage, and Jacqueline Bassett as its new senior sales manager.

Leffew will oversee the culinary team, including the resort's five on-site dining establishments, along with its catering and banquet operations. Previously, Leffew served as the director of catering and conference services at the resort.

Bassett has 10 years of corporate and association market experience within the Carolinas and most recently was the national sales manager at Renaissance World Golf Village Resort in St. Augustine, Fla., and the Omni Grove Park Inn in Asheville, N.C.

Sonesta Resort Hilton Head Island is at 130 Shipyard Drive in Hilton Head Island.
