Which Wich headed to Hilton Head Island in June

Sandwich fans on Hilton Head Island are about to get more options -- 52 options, to be exact.

Which Wich Superior Sandwiches, a national sandwich franchise chain based in Dallas, will have a new location at Circle Center at 70 Pope Ave, No. 13, on Hilton Head. The restaurant is expected to open June 29.

Which Wich features 52 customizable sandwiches in 11 categories such as turkey, ham and pork, beef, chicken, seafood and vegetarian. Customers place their orders by selecting a bag with the type of sandwich they want, then writing the toppings, size and any extras they want on it. Once the sandwich is ready, the customer receives his or her order in the same bag. Sandwiches come in three sizes, between 7-14 inches, and are about $6-$11 in price.

Which Wich also sells "bowlwiches" -- any sandwich made in a bowl instead of on bread -- and "lettucewiches" -- any sandwich wrapped in iceburg lettuce.

Hilton Head Which Wich owners Grant and Lauren Curtis of Bluffton are scouting in Bluffton, Beaufort and Hilton Head for a second location, which they hope to open by the end of the year, a spokeswoman for the company said. Once the first two locations are open, the Curtises will consider additional expansion in the area.
