Butcher’s Market and Deli in Bluffton to host grand opening Friday

The concept behind a new deli harkens to a bygone day -- a time before supermarkets took over (especially in Bluffton), when customers had to go to different stores for their meats, produce and breads.

Butcher’s Market and Deli -- in Berkeley Place shopping center at 102 Buckwalter Parkway, Suite 3-G, in Bluffton -- will celebrate its grand opening 5 to 7 p.m. Friday with free food and drinks following a ribbon-cutting, according to a news release. A butcher shop with “old-fashioned customer service,” meats are prepared on-site by owner and resident butcher Jay Rainey.

Butcher’s Market and Deli also sells breakfast, lunch and to-go deli and holiday meals, the release said.

Butcher’s Market and Deli is open 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.
