Hilton Head Island Grayco to relocate
Lowcountry-based hardware store Grayco is set to open a new location on Hilton Head Island in the coming weeks.
Grayco, which has building centers and hardware stores throughout the Lowcountry, will open a store in The Crossroads shopping center at 40 Palmetto Bay Road on Hilton Head. Louise Coleman, marketing director for Grayco, said there's no specific opening date yet, but it should be open around April 15.
Grayco sells paint, housewares, lawn and garden items, power equipment and hardware. In addition, Coleman said the new Hilton Head store will be tailored to fit the community -- marine and fishing supplies, for example, will be featured.
It will also include a Lowcountry living section, which showcases furniture, home decor and accessories for ideas to help design your living space. In addition, an in-house designer will be available to assist customers with design ideas and picking out furniture pieces and paint colors.
Coleman said the new store is much larger than the current Hilton Head location at 1014-A William Hilton Parkway, which will be closed once the new store is open.
Hours of operation are not yet determined, but Coleman said the store will be open seven days a week.
