Hilton Head radio station bought by Charleston company

Charleston-based Apex Broadcasting has purchased WLHH-104.9 FM "The Surf," a radio station on Hilton Head Island.

The station will continue to play songs from the '60s, '70s and '80s, operating out of a building in Westbury Park in Bluffton, according to a news release.

Apex will also broadcast another area station it bought, WVSC-103.1 FM, at the Westbury office, starting this fall.
