Spartina’s Warehouse Sale is this weekend on Hilton Head; free shopping hours added
Shoppers will converge on Hilton Head Island High School this weekend for Spartina 449’s annual Warehouse Sale, which kicks off Thursday evening and runs through Sunday.
Most tickets for the event were snapped up by fans of the upscale handbag and accessories brand in early June. As of Thursday morning, only a few remained for early afternoon slots on Saturday.
But don’t despair if you wanted to shop and didn’t get a ticket in advance. General admission hours have been added on Saturday from 3-7 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and even better news is that shoppers can enter free without a ticket during those times.
According to a Spartina news release, for the first time ever in the sale’s 10 years, products will be restocked throughout the day on Saturday.
Proceeds from the ticket sales — tickets ranged from $5 to $50 depending on the level of access to the sale — will be donated to this year’s charity partner, Volunteers in Medicine Clinic of Hilton Head. VIM provides free medical, dental, mental health, vision and prescription drug care for those in need.
With more than 4,400 tickets sold, that donation to VIM had reached $20,000, according to the news release from Spartina. Additionally, ticket proceeds will benefit the Daufuskie Island Historical Foundation.
Spartina 449 started on Daufuskie Island in 2009 and has grown to become known internationally, with products sold in retail shops, online and its own stores.
The annual Warehouse Sale features one-of-a-kind design samples, as well as discounts of up to 80% on handbags, beach bags, golf bags travel luggage, jewelry and more.
Hilton Head Island High is located at 70 Wilborn Road on the north end of the island.
