Shop (or donate) ‘til you drop! Hilton Head’s newest thrift store is now open
A second Goodwill store has opened on Hilton Head Island.
The new store, located on the south end next to the Dairy Queen off William Hilton Parkway, will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday for donations and shopping.
“We are delighted to expand our presence in Hilton Head, which will bring more jobs, donations and sustainable opportunities for the region,” Robert Smith, CEO and president of Palmetto Goodwill, said in a news release. “We are grateful for the support Hilton Head Island has already shown Goodwill, which is the reason for a second store.”
The original Goodwill store is located on Mathews Drive on the island’s north end. Shoppers at both stores must be wearing masks to enter.
The new store is called GW Boutique and features designer clothing, home decor items, shoes and accessories. The store’s Facebook event for its grand opening describes its style as “shabby-chic.”
Proceeds from items sold at Goodwill stores go to fund job training, employment services and educational programs in the Lowcountry.
