Low-cost airline extends flights from SAV airport to these major cities through April

Low-cost airline Allegiant announced Thursday that it’s extending more than two dozen seasonal routes through 2021, including two non-stop trips in and out of Savannah.

The seasonal flights will connect Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport to Houston and Chicago.

The flights, which are currently on sale, will be available through April rather than ending in February.

The extentions were “due to customer demand,” a company news release said.

Flight days, times and the lowest fares can be found at Allegiant.com.

Flight travel has been down in recent months due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a spokesperson for the Savannah airport said last month. Although the number of people getting on a plane has steadily increased in recent months, it’s still far below January and February levels.
