Southern Tide clothing and accessories store opening soon on Hilton Head

Just in time for the RBC Heritage, Southern Tide is opening a storefront on Hilton Head Island.

The Southern Tide Signature Store will be owned by Palmetto Dunes and located in Shelter Cove Harbour and Marina, according to a news release from Southern Tide. The website says the store will be located adjacent to the Neptune statue.

The store is expected to open in March. A representative was not able to provide a specific date when it would open, citing uncertain construction timetables related to getting the retail space ready.

Southern Tide, which sells apparel, shoes and accessories for women, men and children, is known by its skipjack tuna logo and is based in Greenville. The closest existing Southern Tide Signature Store to Beaufort County is on Kiawah Island, though several local retailers stock some Southern Tide products.

Southern Tide is an official style sponsor for the RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing golf tournament, scheduled for April 13-19 at Harbour Town Golf Links.
