Here’s how to get on The Travel Channel when it films on Hilton Head Island in a few weeks
The Travel Channel will film Aug. 31 at Chow Daddy’s on Hilton Head Island and the public is invited to join in the fun.
Price Beall, restaurant co-owner, said the network plans to interview guests while filming for the show “Food Paradise.”
Crews plan to film the entire day, Beall said. The restaurant is open from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
Beall said he can’t promise the times the crew will film the dining room or when they will interview guests. He also said he doesn’t know how the producers will edit the footage.
The segment, which will be called “budget bites,” will focus on the restaurant’s fried chicken and pork tacos, Beall said.
The tacos cost $4 every day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and then 9 p.m. to close.
Beall said he received the call from The Travel Channel last month.
“A producer or someone else was on Hilton Head Island for vacation and visited us for lunch,” Beall said. “They had tried our tacos and wanted to use us in a segment.”
The restaurant first opened on Hilton Head Island at 14B Executive Park Road about four years ago, Beall said. He said another location in Bluffton at 15 Towne Drive opened about two years ago.
