Hey Beaufort County residents, this is how you can avoid long grocery lines
A large portion of Beaufort County will soon be able to have groceries delivered starting August 10.
Instacart announced it will expand into county markets via a press release Thursday. It said shoppers can pick from retailers such as Publix, CVS, Petco and Whole Foods Markets.
For a limited time, Instacart is offering customers a free, one-year subscription to Instacart Express, which offers free grocery deliver for orders over $35, the release states. After the initial free year trail, the cost of Instacart Express will be $149 a year or $14.99 a month.
Here’s how the service works. Customers download a mobile app on their iPhone or Android device. The customer then selects a store and adds items to a virtual cart, the release states. An Instacart shopper then accepts the order once submitted.
“Over the past year we’ve seen incredible demand in the Hilton Head Island area,” said Sam Donoghue, Instacart General Manager. “Expansion into Hilton Head Island gives us an opportunity to expand service in the South Carolina market.”
New customers can open an account at www.instacart.com.
