Authentic Italian restaurant plans to open in Beaufort

Bella Napoli could open in the next four to six weeks in the former Pizza Hut location on Ribaut Road in Beaufort.

The authentic Italian restaurant is a part of the La Famiglia Restaurant Group, which owns multiple eateries in Savannah and the surrounding area, Greg Hunter, spokesman for the restaurant group, said Friday.

The restaurant group’s first restaurant, La Fontana, opened more than 20 years ago in Charleston, Hunter said. In recent years, other restaurants have followed including Bella Napoli in downtown Savannah and Terra Mia in Pooler.

Beaufort’s Bella Napoli location will focus on family dining, Hunter said. He said the menu will range from sandwiches and pizza to Italian meals like pollo alla parmigiana or muscles.

“It will be priced for the market so that families can come in,” Hunter said. “It is a place you want to go a couple times a month. It is supposed to be your neighborhood restaurant.”
