Pick up a new phone book? You’ll notice a familiar scene

The cover of the phone book hitting Beaufort County doorsteps and mailboxes includes a familiar Lowcountry scene.

The photo of Gay Fish Company on St. Helena Island was shot by Eric Horan and chosen from 360 entries from 25 photographers, a news release said. The Lowcountry Phone Directory includes a newcomer’s guide, hurricane tracking and evacuation maps and tide charts.

Fry Communications printed 92,000 copies of the phone book for Beaufort, Jasper and Hampton counties.
