New direct flight out of Savannah will make some travelers happy

Future travelers to and from Louisville, Ky., received some good news Tuesday.

Allegiant announced it will be adding nonstop service between the city and Savannah beginning May 26.

The new seasonal route will operate twice weekly out of Savannah-Hilton Head International Airport. Flight days, times and fares can be found at Allegiant.com. To celebrate the new route, the company is offering $44 one-way fares on the routes through Jan. 13 for travel by Aug. 15.
