Guess where you won’t be eating breakfast on Hilton Head Island this holiday season

It looks like the home of breakfast has closed house on Hilton Head Island.

The International House of Pancakes franchise restaurant on William Hilton Parkway is officially closed for business.

IHOP signage has been removed from the building and a sign that reads “closed” has been taped to the inside of the restaurant’s front door.

According to an IHOP representative, the pancake house officially closed Dec. 5.

It’s unclear at this time why the location was closed.

The nearest franchise IHOP at 11 Towne Drive in Bluffton is still open. Stephanie Peterson, IHOP’s executive director of communications, said restaurant team members at the Hilton Head Island IHOP were able to apply to open positions at the Bluffton IHOP.
