Family-owned Bluffton steakhouse for sale after more than 20 years of business
Sigler’s Rotisserie & Seafood, a family-owned and -operated restaurant, might be under new management in the near future.
The 21-year-old Bluffton favorite is for sale for $419,000, according to a listing on www.bizbuysell.com.
Michael Sigler, owner and chef of the restaurant, said Tuesday morning that the business has actually been up for sale for about a year and a half and that he and his wife, Shirley, are selling the restaurant to move on to other things after working in the hospitality industry their whole lives.
They’ve had two serious inquiries and a few people fishing, he said, but they haven’t found someone to take over the business as is.
“We have a private dining room and full-service restaurant, and we also do catering, so it’s not like it’s a startup business for somebody,” he said. “I mean, this is a whole lot to do here. You’ve got to pretty much come in with your guns loaded to run this thing.”
Sigler said many local customers are happy for the couple and that he’s hopeful to find another couple to continue the business.
“We aren’t going anywhere,” he said. “I mean, we’re going to stay and help the other owners. You know, we’re going to segue the thing in.”
