Beaufort wellness center offering new workplace workout sessions

The Beaufort Second Wind Therapy & Wellness Center announced it will offer a corporate fitness program where people can participate in 30-minute full-body workouts at the workplace.

The classes will be mixed level, meaning there will be a standard version of an exercise and a modified version, like a squat or a squat using the back of a chair, said Gary Engle, a trainer with Second Wind.

Engle said businesses should consider fitness programs for their employees because it encourages engagement, teamwork and even friendly competition at work.

“Workers feel more loyal to the workplace because they see that they’re not just a number or a body...but the owner is invested,” he said.

Interested employers can contact Second Wind about its corporate fitness program for a complimentary lunch and learning session on nutrition and exercise, or even just a workplace assessment.
